Logistic Development Manager

As Logistic Development Manager, you will drive enhanced customer satisfaction by optimizing service, quality and cost across FOSS global supply chain. You will be instrumental in transforming our global end-to-end transportation and distribution footprint. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives and design global supply chain flows, processes and systems.

A real hands-on mentality will be required to define projects, analyse problems, document flows and implement solutions balancing service, cost and inventories. You will contribute through analysis, problem solving and project management related to global planning, warehousing, distribution and transport management with the purpose of optimizing end-to-end flows globally.

You will work closely together with the Global Production and Supply Chain team, IT Shared Services and our Sales and Service subsidiaries worldwide.

Primary tasks

As a Logistic Development Manager you:


  • Actively facilitate, lead and manage projects ensuring effective scoping and execution meeting time, cost and quality contraints. Typical projects would be:
    • Global distribution network design & supplier integration activities
    • o Designing & optimizing global end to end delivery processes improving customer satisfaction and service experience, while automating internal processes and ensuring legal compliance.
    • o Perform detailed analysis, identify and recommend improvement actions and business processes for supply chain and operations management.
  • Monitor performance and identify root causes, and counter measures. Propose and implement action plans based on data driven problem solving.
    • Promote flawless delivery ensuring reliable processes and on time delivery globally.
    • Assist operations in defining and implementing customer centric goals and actions
  • Deliver cost reductions by optimizing flows and maintaining a continuous improvement culture
  • Actively participate in the Global Supply Chain & Logistics management team.
  • Lead standard operation procedure development and best practice documentation & sharing.
  • Are responsible for Production & Supply Chain IT projects and task portfolio. Coordinating and prioritizing development & implementation across process owners, super users and IT shared services. You train users.
    • o Improve SAP (SD, MM, TMS) and implement IT tools supporting business operations within production and supply chain in close collaboration with IT and business user.


The position is based in Hilleroed, Denmark. You should expect 10 - 20 travel days per year.


We are looking for a problem solver and “hands-on” project manager. We expect you to have:

  • BSc or equivalent level within Production, Supply Chain or Logistics discipline. I.e. Diplom Ingeniør or Cand. Merc. SCM.
  • Min 5 years’ experience and thorough understanding of LEAN, logistics and supply chain management is a prerequisite
  • Proficiency in Power Point & Excel required
  • Demonstrated project management experience, dealing with multiple stakeholders. Preferably, PM certified
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems - implementing ERP integrated solutions, working with  queries and data extraction from SAP is an absolute advantage
  • LEAN or Six Sigma green or black belt preferred
  • Financial understanding and hands on with business case generation
